I am designing characters based on media (paper, radio, TV and internet), to point out the anonymity of the internet, I am planning on giving the character a mask. But which do you think would fit best?

A purely blank one, without even holes for the eyes
A blank one with abstract facial features such as holes for the eyes and a nose, a neutras slit for the mouth
The mask from V for Vendetta that also Anonymous uses V for Vendetta by disposableheroine
Use a mask that can change to any meme impression like the fffuuuu face or the troll face and so on.

You need a phantom of the opera mask, that's painted to look like some major newscaster (changing randomly - and sometimes including a random annoying web-ad on it) - at least, that's what my sick mind came up with.

Otherwise, perhaps a completely blank white mask, no eyes, but with a mouth that represents whatever mood is in question at the moment - but changing moods rapidly.

(Black mask says perhaps a little bit too much, I think - as it could represent batman, robin, Xmen movies, or goths, anime... halloween... satan..  Er, meaning it suggests something darker-with-a-purpose...  Whilst the internet is a whole mishmash of... everything.)

How to embody anonymity in a mask?  I don't know.  Can perhaps only reference a movie everyone likely hates, with an actor that everyone hates even more: A Scanner Darkly and that wierd suit that Reeve's character had in the beginning.
